New Style, New Level

At the morning meeting, the company director, Mr. Johnson, announced the start of the selection process. Each employee was required to prepare a presentation with an idea for a new project that could take the company to the next level. Emily knew: this was her chance to shine.

They only had a week to prepare. Emily spent every evening at the office, running through different ideas, rejecting weak ones and developing new ones. One evening, Laura from the marketing department approached her.

“Emily,” she said hesitantly, “we noticed you’re staying late every day. Need any help?”

Emily looked up, surprised. She had always relied on herself, never expecting others to offer assistance.

“Thanks, Laura,” Emily smiled. “I just want to make this project truly meaningful.”

Laura nodded, but then her gaze fell on Emily’s hair.

“You’ve really changed recently,” she noted. “You used to always have your hair in a bun, and now it looks so shiny and smooth. What’s your secret?”

Emily blushed. She had indeed started using a new series of hair care products from Malina, recommended by a friend. But she didn’t think it would be that noticeable.

“I just decided to change my style a bit,” she replied, touching her hair lightly. “When you feel good, everything falls into place.”

Laura laughed. “You’re right, changing the outside can transform how we feel inside.”

The next day, colleagues from IT and finance joined in to offer their support. For the first time, Emily was working in close collaboration with a team, and it turned out to be exactly what she needed to succeed. Their shared enthusiasm was inspiring, and the project began to take shape.

The day of the presentation finally arrived. All the competitors had prepared solid ideas, but when it was Emily’s turn, the room fell silent. She confidently presented her project, emphasizing not only its financial benefits but also its social impact. Emily spoke calmly and with conviction, her hair gleaming under the spotlight, adding to her sense of poise.

When she finished, the room erupted in applause. Mr. Johnson, smiling, rose from his seat.

“Emily, that was outstanding. You’ve done tremendous work and proven that you’re ready to lead the team.”

Colleagues gathered around, congratulating her and sharing in her success. Laura hugged her and whispered:

“See? Changes really can work wonders.”

Peter, the sales manager, approached with a cup of coffee and handed it to Emily.

“You earned this,” he said with a grin. “I always knew there was something special about you. But, to be honest, I first noticed you when you left a little box of new Malina products on your desk. I guess you knew something before we did.”

Emily laughed, shaking her head.

“No, it was just time for a change,” she replied, taking the cup.

Later, as she left the office, Emily watched the sunset over the city, feeling freer than ever before. She knew new challenges and successes awaited her ahead. And although her journey was just beginning, she was ready for anything.

It wasn’t just success at work; it was a personal victory — over fears, insecurities, and isolation. And it all started with a little box she left on her desk to remind herself: every small step leads to big transformations.
